You Can’t Kill My Baby

Welcome to the Sermon Recap!

As we delve into the pages of the Bible, we unearth timeless truths that speak directly to the challenges we face today. One such passage, found in 1 Kings 3:16-28, offers profound insights into the importance of safeguarding our children amidst a world full  of moral peril.

The passage recounts a case presented before King Solomon, involving two women, both claiming to be the mother of a living child. In a moment of divine wisdom, King Solomon decrees to divide the child in two, each woman receiving an equal portion. It’s a dramatic moment, full of tension and emotion, yet it serves as a powerful metaphor for the battles we face in protecting our children from the dangers of the world.

At the heart of this account lies the theme of maternal instinct and the fierce determination of the true mother to safeguard her offspring. One mother had overlayed her own child in the night and wished for the child of the other woman. The real mother of the child would not sacrifice the life of her child. However, the woman who had killed her own child, was satisfied with the decision to split the child.

America used to be one with a sense of cohesion and shared values. Yet, in this modern age, this unity has been threatened and almost completely disgarded by forces seeking to divide us along racial, political, and moral lines.

Indeed, the challenges we face today are manifold. From the harmful influences in media to the erosion of traditional family values, our children are constantly bombarded with messages that threaten to lead them astray from the truth of God’s Word. As parents, it falls upon us to be vigilant gatekeepers, protecting our children from the insidious forces that seek to ensnare them.

Prayer is a powerful weapon in our arsenal against these threats. By humbling ourselves before God and seeking His guidance and protection, we can fortify our families against the temptations of the world. Prayer is a vital lifeline in our battle for the souls of our children.

The role of righteous leadership is a key to shaping the moral fabric of society. Just as King Solomon rendered a wise judgment in the Biblical account, so too must our leaders possess the courage and wisdom to enact policies that promote the well-being of our children.

Amidst the challenges we face, there is hope. We serve a God who is greater than any obstacle we may encounter. Through faith and reliance on His protection and provision, we can overcome the forces of darkness that threaten to engulf us.

In conclusion, “You Can’t Kill My Baby” serves as a call to action for parents and leaders alike. It challenges us to rise up and defend the innocence of our children, to stand firm against the tide of moral decay that threatens to engulf our society. Through prayer, vigilance, and righteous leadership, we can create a world where our children can thrive and flourish, free from the shackles of sin and corruption. Let us heed the lessons in the Bible and take up the mantle of guardianship for the next generation.
