The Bible

We believe the Holy Bible is the infallible and inerrant Word of God and His word is what everything we teach and preach is established upon. We believe that the scripture was given and written under the direction and inspiration and revelation of God given to his servants. Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Virgin Birth

We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin. He was conceived without earthly parents coming together naturally. Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

The Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus

We believe that after Jesus was born unto Mary and Joseph here on earth, that he lived his life until age 33 when he was crucified. After He died a horrible and painful death, Jesus was buried in a tomb where His body laid for 3 days. He then came back to life and was resurrected. The scriptures for this part can be found in Matthew 27 and 28.

Salvation

We believe that according to scripture, Jesus was taken and crucified on Calvary to make recompense for the sin of humanity. We believe to go to heaven when a person dies, they must be born again which is called “being saved.” A person must realize they are in sin and desire to be saved. They, then, must receive Him into their heart and allow that blood He shed, to cover their sins and their past. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Sanctification and Holy Ghost Baptism

Once a person has truly turned their life over to the Lord through salvation, we believe that he or she can and should strive daily to be more like Jesus. This is what we refer to as sanctification and we believe it is a lifelong process. After a person receives Christ and is praying and reading His word and striving to be more like Him daily, they should seek the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 1 Corinthians 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

Doing everything in word or deed in the Name of Jesus

We believe in doing everything in word or deed in the name of Jesus Christ.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. This includes baptism. We water baptize in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The Return of Christ and the Catching Away of the Saints

We believe in a literal return of Christ when the church has made herself ready. Scripture says Luke 9:58.And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. Revelation 19:7. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. We believe that Jesus will return for a glorious church and at the time of His return, miracles, signs and wonders will be taking place. He will come with a shout and in the twinkling of an eye we will be changed. Those who are dead will rise from their graves and be given a new body and then those that are alive will be caught up with Him

Personal Relationship with Jesus

We believe that every christian must have their own personal relationship with Jesus. We do pray for others and with others, but we do not believe that we stand between a person and Jesus. We believe every christian can pray and talk to God and seek him for themselves. We believe every christian should read and study the Bible and learn the scripture for themselves. Luke 11:28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Fasting

Fasting is biblical. Even doctors will say that fasting is good for our bodies. It’s good for our souls and our flesh to fast some. Matthew 6: 16 Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Fasting draws us closer to the Lord by making us more aware of His presence. At times, when we really need an extra touch from the Lord, concerning a matter, or if we just don’t feel like we have gotten victory over a situation or received an answer as to what direction the Lord would have us to go, we find that fasting will get the attention of Jesus and help get break through. Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Daniel fasted like this: Daniel 10:3 – I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Sometimes fasting should be done secretly Matthew 6:18That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. At times, the pastor may call a corporate fast. Joel 1:14Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord.
