In this world we live in, the natural runs parallel to the spiritual.
Take the Flood for example. The Flood in Noah’s day was to take man out of the world. The flood of Jesus’ blood was to take the world out of man. We are going to talk about a lot today, so let’s get to it!
A Look at the Natural Side
Take a look at Genesis 22:17. There are 2 groups here. Natural Israel is the sands of the sea. When you hear about the stars in the sky that represents the spiritual seed, the Church. Genesis 32:12. Genesis 15:5. Isaiah 10:22.
There’s a militant movement called Hamas and its goal is to destroy Israel and establish an Islamic government. If you haven’t heard, on Oct. 7th there was a terrorist attack on Israel.
At least 1,400 people were killed that day. For some reason, God is allowing this world to be shaken. Sometimes, we wonder how people with evil intentions get through securities and regulations to achieve their goals. God wants us to know that the security, the FBI, the military is not our ultimate protection. The one protecting us is God. All He has to do is move that curtain of protection for a split second and terrorist attacks and other crises can happen. We would be in a mess if He didn’t keep us under His wing.
A Look at the Spiritual Side
This attack has moved the Prime Minister of Israel from the mindset of managing Hamas to destroying it. We need to watch, because the things happening in the natural realm will be happening in the spiritual realm as well. If we have secret sins we have been trying to manage, we need to change our mindset to completely destroy them. How badly do we want to get things right with the Lord? Let us crucify our sins. We can’t control sin. It must be destroyed. 1 Peter 5:8.
The devil didn’t come to give us a bad day. He came to kill us. He didn’t come to give us a drug and let us have fun. He comes to lead us to Hell. He comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. That’s his goal! But our precious Lord came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. 1 John 3:8. Jesus will not live in your heart alongside the devil. Luke 10:19.
Hostages
Roughly 210 people had been taken hostage by Hamas and hidden in caves and pits. The enemy takes our friends and loved ones and puts them in pits too. When a person is in a pit, they are living below Earth’s surface. They are living below the peace and hand of protection that comes from the Lord. When a person is living in a pit, they are living below God’s blessings. Are we going to let our friends and family die in this pit lost forever, or are we going to stand up and fight for those who can’t fight for themselves? They are in a mess where there is no water. We can take them to the Living Water, Jesus Christ. Let us reach for them while there is still time!
The devil is trying to tear the walls down.
Nehemiah 1:3. Jeremiah 39:8. The same spirit from Genesis until now has been trying to tear down the spiritual walls of Israel and Jerusalem, and even the foundation of the family. Some families get to the point where they can’t even talk to one another without getting into heated arguments. That is an attack of the devil and in Jesus’ name you can have peace again. The devil tried to tear down your walls of commitment to the Lord. If we build our walls back, we can save our family. We can protect our children.
The enemy is coming after our kids.
Look at the rampage of propaganda in our colleges, our high schools, our children’s TV shows. In Athens, Tennessee, with churches all around, a group of people went into our public library and put up a display of some of the most vulgar, nasty filth which was targeted to our little 4 and 5 year-olds. They demanded it stay, but thank God we have some people on our city counsel that stood up and fought against it. They’ve stirred up other towns and councils to fight for their children. If we keep the right spirit and stand up against sin, God will stand up and fight our battles. God won’t start fighting until we start fighting. If we get up, He’ll stand up, and when He stands up, the enemy has to back up. All it takes is one little seed planted in soft ground to grow a plant. Let’s protect our babies from this world and the evil it tries to sow in their lives!
Divide and Conquer
When the enemy sees something about to happen in your life, he’ll send attacks on prayer warriors around you so they can’t intercede for you. It doesn’t matter if we think someone else is praying for our family, we better pray even still. We should weep for our children like we are the only ones praying for them. We should fast as if there’s no one in the world who has a burden for us. Why? Because if we don’t pray, who will?
Even as natural Israel is being attacked, the spiritual seed of Abraham is being attacked. Our minds, our bodies, our families are being attacked. We need to step into our prayer closet, our war room, and fight back against the tactics of the enemy. Let us fight for those who can’t fight for themselves, and let us pray like we are the only ones interceding for a particular situation. God is on our side and who can be against us?
1 John 4:4 – “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Thank you for reading. In this desperate time for Israel, please remember to keep these precious people in your prayers. If you would like to hear even more on this subject, please watch the sermon below. I pray it blesses you and that you have a wonderful day!
