Sermon Recap

He Sent His Word and He Healed Them

In times of trouble and distress, it is comforting to know that we can cry out to the Lord for help and healing.

Healing is an important part of our human lives. Think about all the records we have of Jesus healing people in the Bible. Take into consideration how big the topic of healing is in the Word of God. I feel healing for you and your loved ones. You are God’s child and He wants to heal you.

The Healing Power of God’s Word

“He sent his word and healed them.” These powerful words from Psalm 107:20 remind us that God is our source for healing and restoration. Whatever He speaks is accomplished. It is essential to recognize that healing is a process, and as we immerse ourselves in God’s Word, it permeates our minds and spirits. God will bring forth a spiritual healing as powerful and even more so than medicine.

The Word Incarnate

In John 1:1, we learn that the Word of God is not merely a collection of written verses; it is personified in Jesus Christ. Jesus, the Light of the World, came to bring healing to our brokenness. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers salvation and restoration to all who believe in Him! You can look through the Bible at all the healings Jesus performed, and all the times the Bible tells you that He healed multitudes. Don’t let the devil tell you that God won’t heal you or He’s left you out. It’s in God’s will that you be healed, that you be restored, and whole!

The Promise of Healing

Isaiah 53:5 declares, “…by his stripes we are healed.” This is your receipt for healing. These words show the profound truth that Jesus paid the price for our healing at Calvary. God’s Word assures us of His faithfulness to fulfill His promises. We can claim these promises confidently, knowing that God’s Word will not return to Him void but will accomplish all that He intends. From our minds and hearts to our physical bodies, God’s healing power extends to every area of our lives.

Trusting in God’s Ways

God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. While we may desire miracles, we must surrender to God’s timing and trust in His wisdom. It is crucial to remember that God’s healing may manifest differently than we expect. His methods and plans surpass our limited understanding. Therefore, we must remain steadfast in faith, knowing that God’s ways are perfect.

The Power of God’s Word in Battle

As we face trials and attacks from the enemy, we can find strength in the Word of God. The storms of life may attempt to shake our faith, but we can counter them with the truth found in Scripture. By saturating our minds and spirit with God’s Word, fear loses its grip on us. God and His Word become a shield, a standard, and a source of unshakable peace amidst the raging battles we encounter.

Healing is a process that encompasses the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being. In times of trouble and distress, we must cling to the healing power of God. It is through Him and His Word that we find peace, restoration, and the assurance of His faithfulness. Let us immerse ourselves in the Word of God, meditating on His truth, and allow God to change our lives. As we do so, we can confidently say that healing is on its way, knowing that our God is not limited and that His Word will accomplish all He pleases.

Remember, to embrace the promises of God’s Word and stand firm in faith, even when the healing process seems to take longer than it should. Trust that the God who sent His Word to heal you will deliver you and keep you. So, immerse yourself in His Word and walk in the good health and abundant life He has prepared for you.
